What is the pricing for teaching you how to start a BBQ catering business? 1. $1300- 2 days of class in person - Saturday and Sunday- usually, one on one course covering the following: Day 1- BBQ 101- learn to cook award winning Brisket, Chicken, Pork and Ribs- learn competition and catering recipes with basic side items- you will get over 15 pages of actual recipes to use for competition and catering. Learn how to smoke on a 9ft wood smoker- types of wood, temperature and flavor profiles. Discuss different type of smokers- ABS, Old Hickory, Southern Pride, Fast Eddy and more Organizational tools needed, equipment for catering and how to use it, meeting deadlines and cooking schedules, levels of service that you can provide. Meeting clients expectations, how to have a smooth job every time. How to quote a catering job and use software. Advance food preparation for catering- Cornish hens, steak, Recipes for side dishes, other meats for vending- hamburgers, hot dogs. Delivery, how to set up on site for buffet, full service and more. Day 2: Vendors and supplies, aspects of building a catering kitchen in your home or trailer, basics on building a turnkey web site for your catering business, other resources for state and local tax information, insurance, etc., developing a business plan if needed. How to market your business, using food trade to generate almost free advertising and marketing. Developing your company identity, focusing on a niche market using your current relationships.
