I have always had this thing about odd years, it shouldn't matter I guess but since my birthday is all even numbers I have had this thought that maybe odd years are just that -odd! Thinking back of life events I have had a few things happen in odd years that were good- ok .. still thinking... thinking... hmmm #1... graduated in a odd year, first year in bbq was a odd year #2, my best job ever started in a odd year #3, Royals won world series in odd year #4, after that it's getting kinda hard to think about other odd year happenings, I'm sure that there are. If any one can name more odd year than even year happenings of note in their life, let me know so I will know that 2009 isn't as odd as I think!
I just put my toe in the world wide web waters by doing google adwords and yahoo adwords, so far after 5 days, been impressed with potential leads and impressions that have been generated and where I'm finding our web site www.lightmyfirebbq.com on google and yahoo, my only concern is that if those in the BBQ world that knows us click on to the ad, then were going to be like my favorite Far Side comic of the big kid at the donut shop who is moving alot of product each day, but the owner is baffeled at why there isn't any more profit !!! Oh well any click is good click right?
Titans and Ravens play this week, I would like to believe that the Titans in a odd year could go to the Superbowl, but maybe that is a stretch. I don't believe that defense wins Championships, I believe defense keeps you in games and the offense wins Championships.. which to me means that who ever has the most offense not the best defense is going to win. I guess only the dreaded Ravens in the past 10 years can claim that D wins Championships- last year if NY Giants wouldn't have pulled off that big spectular catch to a TE, would they have won?
I hope everyone has a great 2009 even if it's odd!!! and have a donut on me...
